Kodak T-Max 400 Professional film is a continuous-tone panchromatic black-and-white negative film. It is also useful for scientific and biomedical work, especially when fluorescence photography is required. It has high speed (ISO 400/27 in most developers), very high sharpness, extremely fine grain, and high resolving power; it allows a high degree of enlargement.

I am a novice photographer and enjoy shooting with film. I have a darkroom in my home so I get to enjoy the whole film experience. I have been shooting 35mm film for a number of years so I decided to give medium format a try. I wish that I would have done it a long time ago. There is so much more information on these negatives. I love this film. It is consistent and has a great tonal range. I get the whitest whites and the darkest blacks of any film that I have used. It is truly a quality film that is easy to work with...

Good film and fine grain. I use 510-Pyro and Pyrocat-HD as film developers and they both works fine with Kodak.

Highest dynamic range I've seen thus far. Excellent for pushing as long as you use Tmax Dev or Tmax-RS Developers. I pushed it to 1600 and still get that fine grain TMax is known for even at 11x14 pictures. (I'm sure it will go even larger, I just have not tried it.)

Fantastic film for handheld use. Grain is small, on par with a traditional film of 125 ISO. Works well in a variety of developers. Pretty good sharpness with normal development in XTOL. Can be incredibly sharp if developed using a semi stand technique.

I picked up a roll initially to test a new TLR I had purchased at a yard sale and was very impressed with it's range and low grain. Since then, I have fed it through every 120 camera I have or borrow. Weather it is being fed through a $50 Lomo or a $5,000 Hasselbad, they quality and consistency is always spot on. I highly recommend this film to anyone wanting a "shoot all over" b&w 120 film.

I've been using it in a Kodak Duaflex II and Brownie Hawkeye Flash I bought them at the antique store for $5 each. I'm getting great pictures with very basic cameras. Love the film. I also use the 100 speed T-max.

Comments about Kodak TMY 120 T-Max 400 Professional Black & White Negative (Print) Film (ISO-400):
I like TMY 400 better in 120 than 35mm as it has less curl - so I can get it into the scanner more quickly. The grain and sharpness is excellent and the price is right. Tmax film I find benefits from a slightly longer fixer time. My only wish is that Kodak start making this in 620 as well, so we could use all the old Kodak cameras,,,

I use this film in various medium format cameras, sometimes to test them out, and it performs reliably every single time. This film is consistent, quality, and the output is wonderful. I will continue to use it and recommend it to everyone I know.
