If you're interested in home theater, but don't want to replace all your speakers and other components, the Bose VCS-10 Center Channel Speaker is an excellent choice. It works with your current stereo speakers and surround sound receiver to give you exciting performance for the front of your room. Add surround speakers, and you enjoy full home theater sound. The VCS-10 center channel speaker does for dialogue what a big screen TV does for the picture.
Advanced Bose® technologies like Compound Loaded® drivers and an Articulated Array® speaker design deliver deep, natural sound and reproduce it consistently over a wider area than most conventional designs. Dialogue remains locked on the screen, even when you're seated to a side. And the slim, elegant cabinet complements virtually any TV or entertainment center.

Comments about Bose VCS-10 Center Channel Speaker (Silver):
I'm using this as a centre for a 5.1 set-up (NAD amp, B&W front speakers, Bose rears)
It sits really nicely with the rest of my gear & is reasonably inconspicuous.
I was a bit anxious on buying this unit as I had read some negative user reviews on it but now I really don't see they are valid negatives. The fact is this is a centre speaker for a surround set-up. It's role is to keep dialogue focused on the screen. It does that brilliantly. The output is crisp and clean.
The negatives I have read relate to people expecting it to pump like an additional speaker in their array. That's not its intended use, yes it will produce music well if you switch your system onto a 'hall' (equal output to all channels) setting but don't expect it to pump out like a big speaker. Like I said, that's not it's purpose.
As a centre speaker for a surround system it's an excellent choice that probably sounds heaps better than the price you pay.
A couple of negatives however...
The colour - the 'silver' is more of a gray than a silver.
The connecting plugs - like other Bose speakers it has very cheap spring clips. Please Bose stop making your products look cheap & use pillar fittings instead.
