Comments about K-Tek K-152CCR 5-Section Klassic Series Lightweight Boompole:
I use this pole for film and video production. So far, it's been able to get me the reach I need for those wider shots and the cabling doesn't get caught up inside -- a problem I've encountered with cheapy poles. I haven't had any noise problems with the inner cord either.
The pole is light and well balanced for your close up and medium shots. However, keep in mind that while it is a "lightweight" pole, anything extended fully out with mic on the end is not going to seem so light after a minute or so!
Though it was a pricey investment, I would certainly recommend this durable K-Tek product to anyone working in production. For ENG style it's a bit overkill.

Comments about K-Tek K-152CCR 5-Section Klassic Series Lightweight Boompole:
I use this for commercials, documentaries, reality shows and films and it really saves alot of frustration from having your boompole cable coil up and crawl together. This also gives more freedom of movement then regular boom poles. Love it so far, I just hope the cable inside dont start slacking.

Comments about K-Tek K-152CCR 5-Section Klassic Series Lightweight Boompole:
Made from super lightweight and durable carbon fiber, this is the best boom pole I've ever had my hands on. Extends nearly 13 ft, so you never have to worry about being caught in the shot. One neat feature of this pole is that when you extend a section to its full length, it gets into a "soft lock" so the internal coiled cable doesn't snap it back. Definitely recommended!

The light weight of the carbon fiber; the XLR protection of the side connection; easy to adjust section collars; all make this the best boom pole I've ever used.

This is a quality product with a great design. After a few hours of holding this above your head, you will begin to appreciate the right-angle connection and padded bottom.
Don't waste your time and money with other boom poles. This is the best.
