The K-TEK K-202CC is a very lightweight, superbly engineered, and meticulously crafted 5 section boompole made from a graphite fiber derivative in a black matte finish. It is used primarily for feature film location sound recording.
The dimpled graphite section collar locks are highly durable and jam resistant, twist adjusting easily and precisely. The Quick Connect poletop option, featuring stainless steel threading and cable retention slots, is standard with this model, adapting a variety of mounting and wiring solutions. The K-202CC features an internally coiled cable and bottom-exit XLR connector at the base.

Comments about K-Tek K-202CC 5-Section Graphite Fiber Boom Pole:
This is my second K-Tek boom pole. My 1st is 9.5' and is great indoors were space is limited but I needed a longer pole for outside and wide shots so I got this pole at 16.1'. I wonderd what I would get for neerly 3X the cost for the longer pole but it is built very differantly; more profetional. The cord is servicable and has a swivle conector on the bottom so if the coilcord get buched up you can unbunch it or eaven replace it. The warm to the touch carbon fiber is nice for outside night shots and the 90 deg plug reduces the clearance if you are indoors and up against the ceiling. I use this pole with a Rode PG2 and NTG2 and it is very easy to hanle even when fully extended. There is very little handeling noise and the rubber coated lock rings are easy to use.
