The K-Tek KEG-100 Avalon Series Graphite Boompole provides a moderately priced, lightweight boompole solution for ENG, EFP and other field recording applications. Its sturdy carbon-fiber design is tough enough to endure the rigors of road use while remaining lightweight and travel worthy. A total of 5 carbon-fiber sections telescope between 2.2 to 8.9' (66 to 267cm) and will easily store in any standard equipment case. The captive-collett coupling system locks each section in place for even further reliability.

Comments about K-Tek KEG-100 Avalon Series Graphite Boompole (Uncabled):
I use the boom as both a mic boom and a pole for GoPro video camera when the camera is pole cam. I used the pole as a pole cam video in sea water and it cleaned up without corrosion to the threads or any parts. Very light and strong and highly recommended as boom pole or GoPro camera pole.

Comments about K-Tek KEG-100 Avalon Series Graphite Boompole (Uncabled):
Super light, collapses to carry-on size and it's way strong. I wish that I would have spent the extra eighty bucks the first time I got a boom pole.
