Comments about K-Tek KTK18NK - XLR Male to Low-Profile Right -Angle XLR Female Coiled Cable:

I've only owned this cord for about a month but it seems very well made. I like the right angle XLR because it seems way more bullet proof than most. For me, the problems that usually occur with coiled cords are usually within the right anle XLR... the design of this one leads me to believe that it will last.

          Coiled too far, fits VDB.

Comments about K-Tek KTK18NK - XLR Male to Low-Profile Right -Angle XLR Female Coiled Cable:

The longer K-Tek cables seem to get a much longer straight section before the right angle. This cable is coiled to within 1" of the right angle connector. Not really an issue, but it makes it very difficult to get the slack you need between pole and mic in order to reduce phonic transfer from pole handling. If I ever need to repair the mic end of the cable I will definitely be splicing in some straight cable to gain more slack. It isn't bad enough that I felt the need to return the cable.

I used this cable to replace a damaged internal coil on an old VDB and it fit perfectly. Just disassemble the Neutrik connector at the bottom end and screw on the VDB exit. The whole process took maybe 2 minutes.

Comments about K-Tek KTK18NK - XLR Male to Low-Profile Right -Angle XLR Female Coiled Cable:

High quality XLR. I actually use this to go between my already wired boompole and my mixer bag. The coil is just the right length to stretch out as far as I would need it and then coil back out of the way when I pull the boom closer. I no longer have to constantly be wrangling my xlr cable, letting loops in or out to give me the cable length I need. Perfect for running and gunning.
