Comments about Sound Devices XL7 TA3-F to Mini Female Connector Cable:
To start with, the cable that I received was 12" long... just so you know. The cable is nice and thick, although I believe that it loses some flexibility because of this. Thusly, because this cable is not very "malleable," noise may be generated by the connectors when bumped, as it is too stiff to have any give when bumped. It's a nice thick cable though, and should last a LONG time! I also use this cable as a means to attach my AKG headphones to my portable devices (the included AKG cable is 10' too long for me).

Comments about Sound Devices XL7 TA3-F to Mini Female Connector Cable:
Use: Sound Devices 302 mixer
Sturdy cable which allows me to both input for the Mix IN position from a mini, music, etc. device BUT as valuable outputting to different types of cameras (i.e. RED reference line when going mini->XLR M)
Buy one of each type *M/F and you'll find you have a ton of options with mixers and recorders.
