The Samson S-CONVERT is a bi-directional level matching and interfacing device for consumer and professional audio products. The unit allows for the conversion of stereo -10 dBv (RCA) signals, which are typically output from consumer grade CD players and cassette recorders, to the +4 dBu (XLR) signals associated with professional mixing consoles, outboard effects processors, and recorders.

Comments about Samson S-CONVERT - Stereo Line Level Converter:
I own both a Cleanbox and this S-Convert and have to say the Samson line converter is a better value especially if you are using it with subs. The S-Convert is nicely built and even a little more compact than the Cleanbox which is a bonus. I am using this in between a Yam Rx-v665 a/v receiver to convert the LFE signal that is ultimately sent to an EP2500 to run a pair of 15" subs. The s-convert does not adversely effect low frequencies the way the Cleanbox does - this product highly recommended and a great value.

Comments about Samson S-CONVERT - Stereo Line Level Converter:
I got this product to try and remove a loud hum from an apparent ground loop between my computer and power amp. However, I couldn't make it work. I ended up removing the hum by changing the outlet my power amp was plugged into and I haven't used it since.
I gave it 4 stars because I believe it is a good product - It's well built, easy to use and while it didn't solve my problem, it could yours. There is lots of variables when mixing consumer grade equipment with pro grade power amps and mixers. It was recommended to me by people who know their stuff.
One thing to note: I was confused by the packaging as it shows that it has RCA IN and RCA OUT so I assumed you could go in with RCA and out with RCA, but you can't. It has two sides,
XLR I - RCA OUT.
XLR OUT - RCA IN.
So you NEED XLR cables. As I only had one XLR cable I was only able to test one channel. Since it did not remove the hum and I removed it by other means, I never got a second XLR cable to try both channels at the same time.
