This Countryman Snap-on Microphone Cable is designed for use with the E6 and E6i ear set microphones. Cable damage often requires that the entire microphone be replaced. The snap-on design allows only the damaged cable to be easily replaced, making it a cost effective alternative to replacing the entire microphone in the event of a short or break.
These replaceable cables are available in various connector types to accommodate various wireless microphone transmitters. This cable features a Switchcraft TA4-Female connector for use with Shure wireless bodypack transmitters.

Comments about Countryman E6 & E6i Snap-on Replacement Cable:
This is used on a weekly basis as the pastor's mic. I love the sound quality and how unobtrusive it is compared to other brands we've tried. I also like the fact that I don't have to buy a whole new headset when the cord gets a short in it. The cord is a bit long though, and somebody attempted to shorten it by chaining it, which led to the short in our first cord a couple years after we bought it. The second cord only lasted 9 months. Looks like the body pack was dropped while the earpiece was still being worn. I will try the 2mm version this time since they are the same price. We'll see what kind of trade off there is on durability vs. visibility.

Comments about Countryman E6 & E6i Snap-on Replacement Cable:
I love the countryman product for its sound quality and discreet aesthetics. They are leaders in audio replication capturing. Unfortunately this is the third wire in less than a year. They all seem to break about 3-4 inches from the body-pack in the middle of the wire. Hopefully they are working on just as thin a cable with stronger internal wire.

Comments about Countryman E6 & E6i Snap-on Replacement Cable:
We had a wireless mic with an alternate headset. Our new pastor came in with a wireless mic by Countryman that he preferred, but wouldn't connect directly into our wireless system (had an alternate connector). I found this cable & ordered it to connect to our transmitter pack... it saved us over $200 since we didn't have to order the Countryman mic with the TAF4 connector.
