The Countryman B3 Omnidirectional Microphone is a miniature lavalier microphone for general public speaking, interviews, stage performances, video and film shoots, houses-of-worship applications and much more.
The capsule measures 0.2" in diameter and is resistant to moisture, which allows for placement in hair and on bare skin. In addition, its omnidirectional polar pattern minimizes handling noise, wind noise and plosives (popping).
A variety of skin-matching colors are available and this version is black. The cable terminates to a 3-pin XLR connector for direct connection to microphone preamplifiers, mixers, etc.

Comments about Countryman B3 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone (Black):
Maybe not the very best audio quality but solid performer. Does very well on my price/ performance curve.
About the same physical size as a mke2.

Comments about Countryman B3 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone (Black):
A simple way to get great sound from talent during interviews or performances. Not as small as the B6 from Countryman, but still plenty small enough that it's easily hidden on most clothing. Not particularly susceptible to clothing or rubbing noise, but use the included wind screen, even though it makes the mic a bit larger.
I especially appreciate that it runs on phantom power that can be supplied by a Zoom H4N, and generates plenty of signal, even through 50 feet of mic cable.
The only con would be that the kit comes with only two tie clips. Some other lavs include many other attachment devices. So far the clip has been fine, though. A really nice case included for the price.
