The Interfit E- Flash is a flat panel flash that provides softer light than a conventional on-camera flash. It comes mounted on its own hot shoe, and may also be fired from the included Sync cord.
It may be used off-camera, on a flash bracket, or mini tripod, both available separately.

This Flash is huge and the light is bright and blinding. Best used when off camera.

This thing really flashes. I was unclear on the double up concept. Turns out the panel easily removes from the hotshoe holder. The holder unscrews in a way that opens up its "jaws" and dimples engage holes in the flash panel. In this way you can mount the panel left or right or mount two of them, one left and one right.
Very interesting manual flash unit. I bought it for tabletop and closeup type applications mainly as a slave flash. It may look strange but it is not that heavy as flash units go. The actual area that flashes is about 5 x 4 inches.
The hotshoe has a lock down knob and I am a bit worried about how sharp the contact on that thing is. Removed from its hotshoe adapter it is really compact for fitting into tight places but has no mounting holes of any kind. Maybe an application for one of those little tripods made to support cell phones that stick on from Jobi? I may have to create some small mount for it. Seems like half the weight and size is in that hotshoe adapter.
It has good controls. PC socket, slave mode which can be turned on and off test button and ready light on both front and back. One power setting.

This unit does everything I expected it to do, once I figured out how to hook it up. The instruction sheet leaves something to be desired, but the light itself is perfectly fine.

Comments about Interfit E-Flash Panel:
Bought this to try it at a wedding instead of my hot shoe flash and diffuser that I normally use (I shoot mostly manual). It gives off a very usable soft light and seems well diffused. The flash only has one power setting, and my gripe would be to add at least a 1/2 and 1/4 power settings to the flash to allow me to drag out the shutter more. Other than that, it's a great bargain.
