The Hosa Toslink to Sony-Type Mini-Toslink Fiber Optic Cable is an optical fiber cable with a Toslink connector on one end and a 3.5mm mini-Toslink at the other end. This connection can be found in the front panel of console-type audio/video equipment and desktop IT devices, some iMac G5 models, and Sony Mini-Disk recorders.

Looking for a connection between the optical output of the Sony D50 recorder and a 3.5mm camera input, I assumed the one cable listed as an accessory would fill the bill. Unfortunately it does not. The price makes it uneconomical to return.

using this cable to go from mac mini 3.5 aux out to onkyo receiver optical in. havent had the opportunity to do too much testing but so far it is at least as good as the 3.5 aux to dual rca setup i had before.
