Comments about Numark TT200 - Turntable:
I bought two of these because I didn't want to spend 5x as much on two Technics. They aren't Technics, but for the price they are a great value. I use them at home to practice my turntable skills. They are a little more sensitive then other turntables I've used, in that if I push too hard on the record the platter will stop spinning. This is not necessarily a bad thing, just something to get used to. They come back up to speed quite quickly.

Comments about Numark TT200 - Turntable:
As an electronic musician (usually laptop) who has spent more time admiring the work of turntablists than trying to be one, owning my own direct drive turnable (instead of the belt-drive ones I grew up with) is a bit of a luxury. I wish I could review this from the standpoint of an experienced DJ, but from my amateur perspective this turntable does everything it needs to do, flawlessly, and without the daunting price tag of the more widely revered Technics 1200 series models. If you are like me and want a turntable in the house that can sometimes be used an instrument (without fear of hurting it), I highly recommend the TT200. It is sturdy and full featured without being finicky.
