The unique compact Triflector MkII Kit is versatile and easy to use. The three Trilite white/silver panels on one lighting stand plus an overhead light give the Trilite its distinctive catch lights in the eyes. Widely used in portrait and fashion photography.
Trilite's hinge mechanism makes all three panels individually adjustable to get light exactly where you need it. The panels each fold like the collapsible reflector panels - the frame folds away and they all fit into a portable bag.

This tool is perfect to create fill for portraiture. I used to use either a pop-out reflector that required someone to hold it in the right position (often bent or curved to apply fill to just the right place), or a large panel that was a pain to set up. The Trilite couldn't be easier to use, and it is very flexible, allowing you to position it right where you need it.

Might be better than higher priced item
It is easy to aim the light and mold it with this unit.
Assembling is a bit difficult in terms of getting the panels into the retainers.

I think it's a bargain in terms of a competitive unit listed at B&H which I would expect to be more sturdy in construction for the price difference.

I shoot a lot of headshots and will truly delve into portraiture now that I have a system that can add the lighting required to provide full coverage. The triflector works as advertised and I'd gladly recommend it to anyone looking to better their portraits and headshots.

Comments about Lastolite Triflector MkII Kit - White/Silver:
My main focus if you will is head shot photography. I can not believe how much my photos have improved since I got this apparatus, alone with a nice 50mm f1.8 lens!
Easy to use, panels are sturdy and have double sided (white and silver)
You have to be careful how close you set it up or you will get the reflection in the eyes. Paramount if you are using natural light!

Comments about Lastolite Triflector MkII Kit - White/Silver:
I use this in my studio on a daily basis. I find that the catch lights this reflector allows really help images to "pop"! I have tried other similar reflectors and even made a couple using car sun blocker/reflectors but this is by far the quickest lightest set up.
I'm always impressed by Lastolites' quality of build. Since purchasing this reflector I have invested in a Lastolite pop-up background.... I really enjoy how easy they are to use! Great quality!

I purchased the Triflector MK II after reviewing photos on Terry White's Blog. The Triflector MK II has 3 panels that adjust independently from each other. The results are truly spectacular. I shoot my headshots with an 85mm F1.8 lens between f2.8 and f3.5 giving a shallow depth of field. The Triflector MK II gives the skin a glow that is gorgeous for beauty shots.

Comments about Lastolite Triflector MkII Kit - White/Silver:
I have only owned the triflector for a short time. I have set it up and used it with both a Beauty Dish and then a Large Softbox as the key light. (essentially a clam shell setup). Very nice beauty effect - another neat thing to do is remove one of the side reflectors from the equation by simply swiveling it down and out of the way - this gives you a more dimensional light by allowing for more shadow on one side. I like the portability if offers and plan to use this on location shoots, etc. It can also be used with window lighting.

Comments about Lastolite Triflector MkII Kit - White/Silver:
This is a neat piece of gear and you can get some interesting light effects for portraiture. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I can't say it's a great value in that you're paying a premium for this (you'll also need to buy a cheap light stand to mount it). Also check out the video on Lastolite's site for a quick reference on how to use it.

This product is portable, easy to use and give nice even light for portraits. Just position the main light over the tri flectors....use the light meter pointed down at the triflectors not even with the model to get correct light reading. Love the results!!

This reflector helps you take awesome head shots. Wraps the light around the person wonderfully. It is a little hard getting the reflectors into holders but it ensures stability.
