The Nikon CL-0715 Soft Case (Black) is a replacement case for the Nikon 10.5mm Fisheye f/2.8G ED-IF AF DX Nikkor Lens. It will fit all Nikon 18-55mm zoom lenses and most Nikon TC teleconverters.

I keep my lens in these bags while stored in a closet or in my camera bag. They offer a measure of protection and allow quick access. They are not intended as stand-alone protection but add a bit more while secured inside my padded camera bag. The bottom is stiffened and the drawstring closure stays shut yet opens quickly. If you have several lens's then identifying each is difficult. Adding colored thread or a string tag helps. They're also useful for storing ballheads or other gear.

To review something as mundane as a soft lens case seems odd to say the least; but since it does have issues, it's worth noting them here:
1) The base is padded (good), but the base is much wider than the lens; this means it takes up a lot more storage space in a bag than the lens alone.
2) The drawstring is nylon and does not stay tied.
3) Since this is a soft case, it is not perfect padding for the lens.

Nikon SOFT LENS CASE f/10.5mm 2.8G LENS is very comfortable for different purposes. I bought two such cases at once. I am using it for AF Nikon 50 mm f/1.4 lens and Compact Digital Camera FujiFilm FinePix E900. Thanks to this case I can put AF Nikon 50 mm f/1.4 with camera having other lens in one section of my shoulder bag during the transporting.

I use this bag to store my Nikon Tele Converters. Does a good job of protecting them while being transported in my camera bag. The felt material does a good job of protecting the tele converters from impact. I also use the case for storing my smaller prime lenses.
