The Sony SNC-CZ20N is a fixed network color camera with a built-in 18x zoom lens. The unit integrates a web server and a high resolution, high sensitivity 1/4-inch CCD. It uses JPEG compression for industry standard compatibility to LANs and web networks.
Built-in Web Server
The camera has an integrated web-server built-in. This gives the camera immediate ethernet compatibility and it even has an input for a RJ45 connector for networks. Additionally, the camera has a slot for a wireless PCICIA LAN card.
Built-In High Quality Lens
The camera comes complete and ready for use. A good quality, wide-angle zoom lens is built into the camera. At its widest, the lens renders a field of view of 48 degrees. The camera can even accept an optional wide-angle converter, the VCL-0637W. With the converter, the camera will display a wide angle of 73 degrees. The lens is sharp and fast enough for low-light conditions. The aperture is variable depending on focal length from f/1.4 to f/3.0.
Super Sensitive Black and White Mode
In normal lighting conditions, the SNC-Z20N is very light sensitive with its f/1.4 lens. The camera is rated at 0.7 lux at full wide aperture, with 50 IRE. For security and surveillance scenarios, the camera can be switched to a black and white mode that is much more sensitive with a low-light rating of 0.01 lux, full open iris (f/1.4) and 50 IRE.
