I use this mostly for reference shots when trying various wardrobe on talent. It is great for taking anywhere. Easy to store. Very lightweight. The large 5x7 area allows for showing the full person. There is a loop at the top of the background which is nice for hanging on a stand if you like. I haven't quite mastered collapsing this background. It's a bit tricky. However, it only takes one person to collapse it once you've figured it out. The material stays wrinkly but for my purposes this isn't an issue.

I was using this as a background for various types of shots. I found the collapsible ring to be a bit flimsy compared to other brands, and the fabric was too transparent, you could look through the thread weave. When I tried to collapse it and rebag it for storage according to the demo [...] the flimsy plastic ring broke. [...]I would be hard pressed to buy another Botero product after this experience.

Comments about Botero #000 Collapsible Background (5x7') (White):
I use this for portraits primarily. This is a great backdrop and it works well as a diffuser.
It is translucent so anything close enough to the back will show through to the front but a simple glance will tell if that is a problem. The version I ordered came with an additional muslin backdrop which can be used to help reduce that effect.
GREAT size for portability and its plenty big enough for close ups.
Its no more difficult to fold up than a car sun visor, once you get the hang of it its very fast. It only took me two tries to get it down.
Just be sure to treat it well, the material is not heavy so using it improperly can cause damage, that being said its not really delicate either just be reasonable with the handling of it.
recap:
Translucent - good for diffusing not great for things close behind it
Stable - not flimsy but not rugged
Easy to use - takes a practice run but it expands and collapses very easily
Portable - closes down to a reasonable size

Perfect as a background for passport photos. I do a lot of on location portraits, many times i get requests for passport photos at the same time, this makes it easy.

Comments about Botero #000 Collapsible Background (5x7') (White):
I like the eased of use of a collapsible background for quick portrait or photography work. However I find the material is too thin and light bleeds through it. I'll be returning this item and go back to using a thick weaved muslin.

Easy to transport, use with a stand or even prop up with a chair against a wall. Folding it is just like smaller collapsibles, but with a little more wrangling. If you've never done it you can find good clips on YouTube. Zip cover is a little flimsy and the Botero info on it is a little too large.

easy to use on location shoots, great headshot backdrop. folds up easily, and simple to carry.
Second one I've purchased, first one had 'liquid' dropped on it by grandkids, and acquired new stained look.

Comments about Botero #000 Collapsible Background (5x7') (White):
This thing is just too easy. I had bought a roll of paper to use, and then decided to get the collapsible background for it's ease of use.
Indeed - it really works well. I find it easy to roll/fold back up and have not had any problems getting it back into the bag.
The white is white, and with a backlight strobe, minimal touch up is needed for post processing.
It is big enough to cover the background, but at the same time, not too big to be useful.
I plan on buying some more in different colors I like it so much.
