My only problem with collapsible backgrounds is that I apparently lack the coordination to fold them back up. It takes me a while but I finally get it every time.

First off, folding it is really easy once you watch the video. It literally folds it self when you do it right. Opening it might well cause an injury it can really fly out, so do take care.
This color on this is no where near the photograph. As others have said it's very light, basically white with gray spots. Rather than return it I decided to try painting mine. I bought some general purpose gray spray paint from a craft store and slowly built up the color while trying to maintain the patchy look. It came out exactly like I hoped, phew!
Once it's up it works as it should, there are still a few little creases but a short DOF took care of that. It hangs straight with very little twist and hangs from a single stand. I found putting a couple of clamp on the bottom edge keeps it nice and steady.
I don't know when light coming through would be a problem as one reviewer said. I'm not planning to use this outside. For me this is an indoor off camera flash, emergency background when the surroundings are hideous! Up near a wall indoors is where this will be used 99% of the time. It's not transparent when lit from the camera side.
I like the brand but I wouldn't recommend this particular backdrop. Unless you want to go spend another $10 on spray paint, don't get it! I would recommend another color.
I've thought to add some Velcro to the frame and bring a few other muslins on a roll and I'll have a pop out frame to hang my back drops on. So when used like that it's great value!
2 stars off for the misrepresentation of the color.

Comments about Botero #038 Collapsible Background (5x7') (Dark, Medium Grey):
I am using this as a background when I do video depositions and it can get you out of a tight spot for a reasonable investment. Works fine if you have just one person on camera. Make sure you know how to fold it up before you take it out on a shoot or you could be embarrassed. It's a little tricky and I found it easier to fold it up as I would a FlexFill. The demonstration on the B&H site did not work well for me.

Comments about Botero #038 Collapsible Background (5x7') (Dark, Medium Grey):
I was needing a portable backdrop in a moderate or neutral shade of gray.
The backdrop that was delivered was nearly white, with a few light gray clouds across the face.
I was disappointed that it was not accurately portrayed in the photo displayed online.

Comments about Botero #038 Collapsible Background (5x7') (Dark, Medium Grey):
This background was just what my video kit needed. It's lightweight and easy to transport. It is even easier to break down unlike some I have used before where it would take several tries before I could get it to turn correctly to fit back in its case. It also matched the online picture perfectly to my relief. Quick. Easy. Reliable. That is what I was looking for and that is what I got.

Comments about Botero #038 Collapsible Background (5x7') (Dark, Medium Grey):
It's true that this background is way to white compared to the picture. It's not medium gray, it's almost white. You have to use it in a very dark room to be able to make it gray. But it's a great product, no wrinkles and easy to set-up. The free white backdrop is redundant. So I will try painting it with a spray can to make it real dark gray.

Comments about Botero #038 Collapsible Background (5x7') (Dark, Medium Grey):
The background works, it is collapsible, and it's easy to transport, take out of the bag, use and collapse and put into the bag again, but I am disappointed about the level of gray. I ordered the dark/medium gray version, and in my opinion it's "almost white/very light gray" at most. It is nothing like the picture. Maybe there is too much variation between these backgrounds, or they picked the darkest they could find for the picture, but it's definitely not what I ordered.

Comments about Botero #038 Collapsible Background (5x7') (Dark, Medium Grey):
It's gonna be a great tool for quick location shots, but if anyone else is looking at this, the color did match what I had in my mind of what it would be and it's a little disappointing. The Medium gray is closer to white then a medium gray, and the Dark gray is closer to a splash of medium/light gray. Nothing like it looks in the photo here, so I just wanted to give you all a heads up.

Comments about Botero #038 Collapsible Background (5x7') (Dark, Medium Grey):
The construction is very good and easy to fold up (if you watdh the video clip once).
However, the color was much lighter than I thought it would be by looking at the image.
I do need a light background, so I am going to keep it.
Three stars only for the unrealistic color representation.

Backdrop setup in 1 second, just be careful about knocking your talent off the stool. This spring loaded, self-shaping concept is great. I'm getting more colors. Good for 3/4 length of one person or head & Shoulders of two people turned sideways.
Cons: No matter how easy it looks you will never get this folded back to 1 meter circle twice in a row. Not a reason not to buy.
