Didn't realize that the clear case the tapes come in must be discarded before you put them in the albums. I wanted to keep the cases for more protection.
Also, when unwrapping the first case, I accidently tore off the clear, partial cover thinking it was part of the shrink wrap. Big mistake.
I might buy it again.

It opens like a book but it does not close tightly and the latch is not to be trusted during transport.
Adequate for storage when lying flat on a shelf, but I plan to step-up a notch on my next purchase.

Sturdy,well constructed. Storage that eliminates clutter and is easy to have on the shelf. If you have larger plastic cases like some Canon, they won't fit.
Cleans up my space a lot. Like it. If i need more I wouldn't hesitate to get more. Price is good and this is a quality product.

After searching for a good way to organize the mini-dvs I came upon these cases. They work great. Easy to label and put on the bookshelf. Could be a little cheaper, but B&H actually have them for a decent price. Overall- I would recommend them for storing the tapes you are working from.

I am so grateful to get my mini dv's out of checkbook boxes and up on my shelf! They are labeled and neatly filed away in these binders. It comes with a label to use on the binder itself so you can see what date range is in each case. It snaps tightly shut so nothing falls out when you remove it from the shelf too. I'd highly recommend them!

We are working on two documentaries with lots of tapes, about sixty. The tape albums are so important to organizing the tapes with the DVD transfers with time code for capturing and cataloging. It is also neater since they fit into a bookshelf so you can definitely see whats inside.
