This Profoto Wide Soft Reflector mounts to the Profoto Acute Ringlight Head. It broadens and softens the light output. Also known as a "Beauty Dish", it is excellent for closeup portraiture.

I had used the Ring flash without it and the lighting is hardish and not consistent in my opinion. Once I installed this accessory the results were so smooth and silky. I wish Profoto sold all together as one, rather than two separate items, but I guess that is how they make their profit. The bottom line is that this accessory is essential for the ring flash no questions!

I use this on all my Ring flash portraits for evenly distributed light and a nice catch light for yes.
This is a great modifier for the Profoto Ring flash as it adds a nice broad balance to the light source.
My only negative comment regarding this product is that it is hard to hand hold at times
