The Speaker and Headphone Splitter from Belkin is a convenient and inexpensive way to send audio signals to two sets of headphones instead of one. It works with iPods, portable CD and cassette players, or any audio source with a 3.5mm audio-out jack. This splitter cable is 6" in length.

My girlfriend and I use this to listen to music together on our commute to work, or to watch movies together on a laptop when we're not at home. Affords more length and flexibility than block-type mini audio splitters.

Our technology teacher likes to have kids work in pairs on projects. When those projects involve audio production, the single audio jack on the computer meant that one kid was always not engaged. The splitter was a very economical purchase that keeps all kids engaged in the task at hand.
