I needed a rolling trimmer to cut 180lb laminated cardstock. I first bought a Carl, but I have been unable to cut very thin slices, the cardstock slides and I end up with a wavy cut. My new Dahle is AMAZING, it slices tiny slivers of the cardstock with an absolute straight edge. I love it!

I have a photography business and have owned several trimmers over the years. This is the best trimmer I have ever owned. It is extremely well made, cuts precisely (even a thin sliver), and is very easy to use. I especially like the pressure plate that holds the paper firmly while cutting. With it's solid construction and self sharpening blade, I expect it to last for years. I highly recommend this product.

Slices through heavy photo paper, accurately! Self sharpens, and does not use a sacrificial mat like some other rottary cutters out ther.

I decided to print years worth of photos stored on my computer and put them in an album. After trimming the first 75 photos carefully with a scissors, I wondered if those treasured family moments were worth the trouble. There had to be a better way. Searching the net I found the Dahle 550 trimmer and read the reviews and ordered it from B&H. I had about 100 8.5" X 11" photos printed from my computer, each page with multiple photos that needed trimming. I sat down and made about a thousand cuts in less than an hour. The trimmer was complete right out of the box. It's wonderful. Buy it!

I had wanted to upgrade my print trimmer and had selected the Dahle 550 well over a year ago, but didn't purchase it until a couple of weeks ago. Now I'm kicking myself for waiting. The Dahle 550 is the finest trimmer I've ever used. What I like the most is it's ability to trim off a minute amount of paper to make a very clean edqe. I also like the way it firmly holds the photo for a perfectly straight cut with no fingerprints on the print.
