Photogenic Quick Change Portrait Reflector - Aluminum Finish - 18"
This is a Photogenic 18" Reflector. It is an aluminum finish "beauty dish", designed for use on Photogenic Photomaster Quick Change flash heads. It softens, and broadens the light output, and makes for flattering portraits.

I bought this as a replacement for one of my old, difficult to assemble, JTL softboxes. This light modifier provides a nice broad light source and it only takes a second to attach to one of my Photogenic monolights. The downside is that it is use and the interior reflector that bounces the light back into the broad dish looks sort of fragile. just means I have to retain the original box for transport. The photo of the dish online shows it with a nice white finish in the dish. the actual disk was kind of a dull aluminum color. I would have preferred the advertised white finish.

I was looking for a broad light source to use with my Photogenic monolights. This seems to fit the bill. Much quicker to connect (seconds) than assembling and attaching a softbox.

I use this mostly for photographing models and people who have good skin. It reflects more light than my umbrellas but still fairly soft, which is good even for good skin.
