Comments about Eartec TD902 - Full Duplexing Portable 2-Person Intercom:
To all the people that have written bad reviews, most don't seem to promising. Never mind the look of it, I mean you're buying these things to communicate, right?? If you are experiencing interference/feedback.........READ THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL and re-configure the dip-switches in the battery compartment, that's what they're there for!!! As far as using the CYBER headset in a noisy environment, HELLO.....order a different headset to adapt to the radio, for people that claim their experienced.....you would think they might know that a tiny/lightweight/single sided headset probably wouldn't be your best option?? Also it runs on 900mHZ, so you might want to look into if you will be running anything else that might interfere?? Call me crazy, but personally I like to do some research before I buy a comm system!!

Comments about Eartec TD902 - Full Duplexing Portable 2-Person Intercom:
I'm seeing a lot of bad reviews on these headsets and I'm not sure why. I'm looking to add a third to the group because I like them so much. We've been using these in the field for about 3 years now with no problems at all. Why do I like them? 1) they are cheap! 2) you can change the frequency by dim switches if you have heavy interference but also by a switch of a button on top. 3) The headset is discrete. The only thing I would change is to better coordinate when you are on Channel B versus A (its a little tricky and we usually push buttons for a minute until we are both on the same channel, same mode).

Not only are these units like plastic toys, they do not work. As long as the units are next to each other they are fine. Go any distance, or in a different area and you get continual crackling in the headset. I sent the unit back for repair [...]. What I got back was a refurb with the same problem. Contacted Eartek and they never responded. Stay away from these radios.
Comments about Eartec TD902 - Full Duplexing Portable 2-Person Intercom:
My wife and I film weddings, and we were looking for an intercom system to talk back and forth on during the ceremony. I found the Eartec TD902 on B&H, looked to be reasonably priced, just under $300...plus it was listed as a top seller. I thought...great...this is what I need! When I received it I should have known it was a bust by the plastic case it comes in. The plastic case is so thin and flimsy that I don't even know why they bothered putting it in a case. But hey, I didn't buy the thing for the case...so who cares, lets open it up and take a look at the goods.Well...things didn't get much better. The body pack transmitters displayed in the item picture are the cheapest things I've ever seen. If you have ever held a todler's plastic toy phone, thats about what these things feel like, except bigger...I mean these things are HUGE...you may not be able to tell from the picture, but they are bulky, about twice the size that I thought they would be. So basically they feel like you went to Toys R Us and bought a cheap walky talky.Alright...so I'm thinking...well its cheap plastic, but maybe the system works great...so lets test them out. Once again I was disappointed. If you plan on quietly talking back and forth in a quiet room with these things, no problem. But, if you are in a room with music playing in the background, and you try to turn the transmit volume up so that the other person can actually hear you, the thing peaks out and you get a feedback squeal. As far as features, there are only 2. Channel option A or B, and a volume control dial...and thats it! No battery life indicator, no frequency option...just a choice between channels and the volume nob.Overall was very disappointed with this item and I've sent it back to B&H for a refund. Thank goodness I bought it from a reliable source like B&H, if I had bought this thing off of Ebay I'd be stuck with it.
Expertise: Semi-Professional
Problems Encountered: Well...the problems are that the item is cheap. I'm sure it was working just like it was designed...its just not a quality item. Any reasonably moderate volume caused the thing to feedback and squeal.
Previous Equivalent Item Owned: None, but I do have a Sennheiser G2 Wireless mic system
Items I Recommend: None, get a different item than this one.
