This was an easy assembly. Sanus has included all the speaker attachment options you'll ever need, and there's even base options for carpet or smooth/solid surface. The materials are solid and well engineered. Threading the speaker wire through the stand is a breeze. As always, read the instruction manual, and you'll be up and running in minutes.

The assembly instructions were a bit difficult to understand at first. There were no written instructions only pictures, which was a problem when given several options for the contruction. However, once together the stands were very stable, the base heavy and not likely to move too easy, which is great if one has pets or kids. I did find that the height adjustment was not the greatest. Didn't always hold at the desired height. But the price was great and there was plenty of hardware for different brands of speakers.

Comments about Sanus Speaker Stands for Home Theater in a Box - Pair (Black):
I was able to remove the keyhole hanger from the speaker and screw the speaker directly to the stand. Not the best choice. Seems stable, wires come out of the bottom.

Comments about Sanus Speaker Stands for Home Theater in a Box - Pair (Black):
Used 2 sets of these stands for my Onkyo surround speakers. Works very well and looks good. Most difficult part of the installation was threading the wire up the tube, but I love that it is now concealed. Sanus provides tons of mounting options, I chose the flat plates and secured them to the bottoms of my speakers with simple wood screws. Great product and great price. [...]

Comments about Sanus Speaker Stands for Home Theater in a Box - Pair (Black):
First, the good. They were inexpensive, and relatively easy to put together.
The bad, they are flimsy, cheap, and do not fit speakers univerally like they advertise. I had to 'engineer' a way to attach the speakers on the stands. I'm still leary of them falling and ruining my speaker, but so far so good.

These speaker stands were a lot nicer than I expected them to be for the price. With all the attachments that came with them, they fit my speakers only after a few tries. I recommend these stands to anyone who has purchased a home theater in a box.

Work great for my speakers. Used then to mount Sony surround speakers and they look to be a perfect match. Sleek and not bulky looking. Sturdy enough for small speakers but the height adjuster nut doesn't seem like it would hold heavier speakers. I love them

Comments about Sanus Speaker Stands for Home Theater in a Box - Pair (Black):
The stands look good and are relatively easy to assemble. There was some slight oil from the manufacturing process but the threads on the poles meshed well.
It was a little difficult to thread the speaker wire through the stand (had to disassemble the stand in order to do it and even then it took a couple of tries.) I would not recommend heavy gauge speaker wire with these stands if you are planning to hide it inside the stand.

really great stands; look good and with the matte finish they stay looking good. I have a new 50" plasma set up on a cabinet. Height of speakers were able to be adjusted to center of screen on each side. Attachment methods are included for over 6 types of speaker mounts, very versatile. Also a variety of "feet" were provided. Once again versatility provided.

I love these stands! I already had 4, before i purchased this set. So I was familiar with the quality that they had. The price on B&H was almost $20 cheaper then the other sets of stands that I had purchased from a national chain store!

Nice value oriented stands. Used with Onkyo s6300 speakers and found no real issues other than speaker wires being a tight fit through opening. I used 16AWG wire.

A friend of mine bought a pair of these and I assembled them for her. I 'd be looking for a pair for myself for a while. The price was right and they are so simple. The wires are completely hidden and the speakers are sturdily mounted. There is hardware included for multiple mounting options and the speaker height and direction is adjustable. I use a projector so these stand alone in the room most of the day. Their simple but elegant design is perfect except for the odd shaped but extremely sturdy bases (they look like a Homer Simpson's shoes ) which are hidden in my home. I also have a pair for the surround speakers.

Used them for my home theater to mount my mains, good sturdy stands, didn't like the way the brace mounted to the stand itself but I fashioned a workaround.

These speaker stands worked out great for my surround sound speakers. They are sturdy (do not exceed the weight limit) and look great. I used 16 gauge speaker wire, which I fed through the speaker stand stem with some difficulty since the feed opening is narrow. Theses stands have plenty of hardware to cover multiple speaker back hanging setups.
