With a Cokin sunset filter, you don't have to wait until evening. You can simulate the colors of the setting sun at any time of day. Cokin sunset filters come in two grades, #'s 197 and 198, with 198 having a greater effect. Some Cokin color graduated filters are color-toned in one half of the filter and have a smoothly graduated transition into a less densely toned portion. Colored and semi-toned image portions can be brought into the desired position by adjusting the filter in the holder. Most Cokin graduated filters are available in two densities 1 & 2, with #2 being darker. Cokin color graduated filters can also be combined with other Cokin filters.
This filter measures 130 x 170mm and only fits the Cokin X-PRO series holder.

i bought this filter a couple of weeks ago for I use on a nikon 14-24mm ultra wide angle lens. I have only used it a few times and when I have I have been quite surprised at how well it works. I like the creative options it gives you in dull situations. It doesn't re-create a proper sunset be any means but it's nice option to have in the right situations.
