Comments about Belkin Adapter - DVI-I Female to VGA Male:
The head unit seems to work, but the display you choose may not be compatible. Get ready for a return if your display does not recognize the VGA DVI link.

Comments about Belkin Adapter - DVI-I Female to VGA Male:
This adapts a DVI-I to a VGA.
It does not convert DVI-D to VGA nor is it intended to do so.
I have a mix of old and new hardware running Linux, WinXP, and SCO UNIX. Some of the systems have DVI-D and others have VGA video cards. The DVI-I allows both digital and analog signals to be passed on the cable but you need a monitor that is also DVI-I like the NEC EX231W-BK.
This adapter takes the analog video from the VGA and passes it to the DVI-I KVM which passes the signal to the DVI-I analog input to the monitor. Voila, VGA on DVI-I monitor.

Comments about Belkin Adapter - DVI-I Female to VGA Male:
I used a DVI cable with my purchased Adapter. My display did not work. Either the purchased adapter is faulty or my DVI cable is faulty. I have no way of checking. The display works with an AGP cable with a DVI converter.

Comments about Belkin Adapter - DVI-I Female to VGA Male:
I have a new HP laptop with an HP docking station. My monitor is an old Dell monitor with only a VGA option. When I hooked up the monitor to the docking station with a VGA cable the monitor screen was blurry. Even with adjusting the display, the resolution was not sharp. It was recommended to me that I replace the monitor because the issue had to do with the VGA option. Apparently there was some glitch with using the HP docking station that way. I purchased the adapter to see if I could somehow avoid having to purchase a new monitor. However, the monitor did not work at all when I connected it to the DVI-I cable via the adapter. I'm sure the adapter works fine, but it just wasn't the solution for my problem.
