Comments about ART TPS II Preamplifier:

The pre would be good for adding some tone to some of the over clean digital
recordings. I use this on some of my mics to soften down the digi sound. It works good but you will need to work out the best settings as it can distort a bit to much at times (thus the valve sound). Every thing has it's place and it's all about finding out what best suites this pre.

I always loved the ART Brand.
I use TPS II in both studio and live performance, for guitar and bass instruments, and occasionally on voice.

There is only one tube for two channels, so we may be worried to have both channels mixed together, but they're not. I changed the original chinese tube for a Mesa Boogie 12AX7, and the warmth is a lot better!

Very useful to get a warm tube sound and a crunchier guitar.

For voice, I'm not a fan of the presets, so I prefer using the PRO MPA. But don't forget that it's $70 per channel... Very cheap for such a great sound. Looking for a similar product in another brand would be at least 2 or 3 times the price.

I recommend this product!

This unit was purchased to use for live sound, primarily for a cellist. Hooked it up to test it using an acoutic/electric guitar, then vocal, and everything sounded great. Will now have to purchase a second unit for the cellist and bassist.

For the money, it's definitely worth investing in a couple of these units.

i'm using it with a 2 channel audio interface. it makes a great difference while recording anything but one has to know how to operate it to get optimal or disired results.
