I bought this turntable for portable use when I am not near my main stereo. I use it at my desk, usually listening through headphones.
This is obviously not a high end product with its plastic tonearm and ceramic cartridge. The built-in speaker is very useful for casual listening, but not that great. The headphone output is far superior, and perfectly adequate for the Bose around-ear phones that I use with it.
Overall, this is a well-built and fun product for portable listening. It would earn a fifth star with a better built-in speaker.
