DPA Microphones' MSB6000 Master Sum Box is part of DPA's Microphone Summation System: a professional, cost-effective way to amplify orchestral string instruments (using up to ten mics) and combine those signals into one stereo feed. The Master Sum Box accepts phantom power from two mixer channels and shares it with other system components. It also takes input from a SSB6000 Stereo Satellite Box and outputs a stereo image to your mixer. Two high-performance, Lundahl transformer-coupled mic preamps ensure that your string section sounds detailed and clean.

The MSB6000 connects to a Satellite Box using 4-pin XLR cables. Phantom power lights for each channel indicate when power is present.

High-Quality Mic Preamplifiers
The Master Sum Box incorporates two high-performance, Lundahl transformer-coupled mic preamplifiers as balanced stereo microphone outputs.
Reduce Sprawling Cable
Inputs and outputs in the Microphone Summation System are merged wherever possible, keeping the quantity of expensive and unsightly wires to a minimum. Input to the MSB6000 consists of a single 4-pin XLR cable; why send 10 costly cables from your mics all the way to the engineer? The MSB6000 can drive cables up to 200 meters (over 656' ) long.
Phantom Powered
The MSB6000 accepts 48V phantom power from two mixer channels and distributes it to satellite components. Lights on the unit flash when power is supplied.
Built-In Filters
To reduce unwanted noise and improve signal strength, low and high cut filters are built into the unit at 100Hz and 10kHz.
