When I bought a new lens I didn't accurately note that it was a 72mm lens and I thought that it was a 77mm lens like my others. Needless to say, I couldn't squeeze my 77mm filters to fit my new lens. Found this adapter ring and it saved me big bucks by not having to buy a whole new set of filters.

This adapter fills the bill, rather then having two separate filters for each of the two lenses, the adapter ring allows me to use my 77 mm filters. It allows me to optimize the use of my gear and minimize expense.

A nice accessory for using those filters you already have for multiple lenses. Threaded easily, functions as designed. Kept me from purchasing another set of filters for a lens that isn't always used...and six less things to carry in my camera bag on those long treks out in the field.
