The CB Junior was designed for those that want to use a compact and lightweight flash rotation bracket but still want to retain the ability to operate all camera and flash functions. The bracket allows the camera itself to be gripped, rather than the bracket. The CB Junior features an adjustable, pivoting flash arm that keeps the flash centered over the lens for both horizontal and vertical photography.
This bracket is tripod ready, with 1/4-20" thread, and features a comfortable foam grip, and the swing-out leg adds support for when the bracket is set on a table or floor. Ideal for Digital, 35mm and 645 medium format cameras.
Note: Requires FT-JR for shoe mount flashes.

Comments about Custom Brackets CB Junior Flash Rotating Bracket:
Easy to mount. Flipped and locked so easy and never had a doubt it would stay in position.
Never had to look twice. I was able to use without taking my eyes off my subject.
Would help to have remote release since grip is on right side only.
Definately need to get Anti-twist bracket.

Comments about Custom Brackets CB Junior Flash Rotating Bracket:
This is my second bracket, I also own and use a Stroboframe Pro-T. A flash bracket is definitly a beneficial piece of equipment at Weddings once used properly. I purchased the CB Junior for my Wife/Assistant and I must admit that I am a bit jealous.
In general the CB Junior is better. I am glad that I do not need to find a coin to attach the camera to the bracket and the anti-twist plate on the CB Junior is a simple and more universal design for most cameras (although expensive). I believe that the anti-twist plate should come standard with the bracket even if it means raising the price.
Nikon users may get a kick with my technique when using a flash bracket. I use the Nikon D300's built-in flash as a trigger/fill-in flash set on TTL with -1 EV Compensation and use the SB-600 or SB-800 flashes with manual power settings as the key light bounced off the ceiling.
Yes, without using a flash bracket, the SB-800 can produce similar results when bounced off the ceiling with the reflector card in use but the height of the ceiling and your subject distance will be a major factor in good exposures as well as vertical shots. In one word, limitations.
Personally, ALL flash brackets add weight, are bulky, inconvenient and are awkward to use but I would NOT feel comfortable photographing a Wedding without one. Results beat Convenience.

Comments about Custom Brackets CB Junior Flash Rotating Bracket:
Bracket is sturdy and easily supports my D200 with good balance and excellent hand position for taking photos at different angles. The bracket at bottom does an great job of standing the camera when not using and keeping the weight off the lens. The one bad feature is that it doesn't fold up small enough, so it is hard to get it in the equipment bag.

I bought this and was very pleased. This bracket is very solid and well constructed. I would highly recommend the anti-twist plate with this as well as the anti-twist mount for the flash. I would highly recommend.

Comments about Custom Brackets CB Junior Flash Rotating Bracket:
This is my first experience with any flash bracket. Before ordering this bracket from BH I was very thorough about considering my needs versus all of the brackets in all price ranges. I needed something simple enough to raise my flash higher, to flip in vertical shooting position all with with a quality build. This bracket has all three. The price is right too.I'm new to flash photography and this bracket was to help have better control over light distribution (bouncing) and directioning. I bought a gary fong diffuser (lightsphere) this morning and it has taken over this role much better. The bracket doesn't have much benefit for me now in this way. There are complaints about the arm being restricted to the right side. This is not my ideal setup, but I found a plus side to this short-falling. I used my wired shutter controller by taping (electrical tape) it to the handle of the bracket. Now I shoot pictures while gripping the bracket and my left hand is free for zooming. What's better than that?!Also, I like the heavier feel the bracket provides, even though it's probably lighter than most brackets. But since I don't use camera neck-straps (I prefer the hand strap) I can pick the camera up by the bracket handle and carry it around as such. Most people are turned off by heavy lenses, camera bodies, etc.. Not me. Maybe it's because I'm also a bodybuilder and am accustomed to weight. But I like the sturdy, almost "anti-shake" feel I get from this set-up. Most people won't relate with the exception of a few people that might find this review somewhat helpful in their purchase choice. But I do recommend the gary fong lighsphere. I'm pretty sure this bracket alone won't solve all your flash woes. I wish atleast ONE bracket review would have brought that fact up even once as I would have not spent[$] just for BULK.

Comments about Custom Brackets CB Junior Flash Rotating Bracket:
The CB Junior is a great bracket. It allows you to rotate the flash and keep it above your camera. It is nicely made, easy to use, and fairly compact and light as far as brackets go. Not quite as nice as a bracket that rotates the camera but then again it comes in at a much lower price. The only down side is that it will not fold up to fit in your camera bag. Still, I liked it more than all the others I tried.

Comments about Custom Brackets CB Junior Flash Rotating Bracket:
This flash bracket is great. The best thing about it is the offset vertical arm, which doesn't require you to learn how to use your camera all over again. It allows for a normal uninterrupted grip. It does push the flash a little to far foreward, but still works great.

Comments about Custom Brackets CB Junior Flash Rotating Bracket:
I was trying to figure out which bracket to use for my wedding photography and had lots of contenders starting with the simplest and finishing with the craziest model by Custom Bracket with the rotating rail and tilting flash mount. I still find the latter an excellent choice but weight is also an important issue. The flash head can be tilted itself, after all. the bracket feels awesome:sturdy, extremely light, does the job, handles well and doesn't get in the way of taking great images, while having both of my hands ON the camera! The bracket will benefit from having an anti-twist bar, no major complaints. Recommend for the price and performance, very well thought out product!!!!

Bracket itself preforms well. The only problem is if you ownthe Canon 30d. The anti-twist plate (300-slr) doesn't fit.Had to make major modifications.

This bracket allows you to rotate the camera such that yourshutter hand is at the top. I can operate my camera as ifthe bracket were not even mounted. It is compact and wellconstructed. This is the last bracket you will ever buy fora D200. I imagine it would work equally well with a D50, 70,80, 40, Canon 30D, 5D etc. Love it.
