Beyerdynamic BS 86
The Beyerdynamic BS 86 is a mounting accessory that enables you to attach a microphone clip to the shoe of a camera. It's a simple mechanism that slides in and fastens to the camera. You attach a microphone clip to its 3/8" thread and fasten a second tightening ring upward to lock the position of the microphone.

You know, I ordered this because i needed a way to mount a shock mount to a shoe. I looked at the picture and it looked like just the thing i needed. I was really surprised to find however, that the thread is a good 1.5" long! Now who needs that much threading. It really looks ridiculous hanging off the camera and it isn't that functional.
Disappointingly, since it's a "special order item", i cannot be exchanged or returned. The quality seems fine but the picture is misleading and I would think long and hard before buying this piece.
