Comments about Hi-Touch Imaging Technologies HiTi 730PS Dye Sublimation Printer:
Overall I like the prints. I really like the plastic coat finish. Being able to handling the print right away, and not smearing the ink is fantastic. Print quality is VERY good, with smooth colors. I've yet to get a good color match to my screen, but the colors are usually pleasing. Black levels could be darker, there is no true black with this printer. Support for Macs is lacking. No print-server support, when using a Mac. Only one print-server is supported with Windows.6x8 photos are no-go on a Mac. After spending a few weeks with Cust Support, finally they stated it was a known Mac Driver issue. New driver is coming, but I've read/heard that for months now. The problem is color alignment. The 3 colors print 1-mm out of alignment on 6x8 prints. 5x7 and 4x6 prints are OK, only off on rare occasion, and never by 1-mm.Mac driver installation can be problematic. One of my 2 machines installed quickly. The other would never work with their install process. I finally copied all the print config files from the working machine to the other machine, and that fixed it.
Problems Encountered: Somewhat disappointed in the black levels. Black is not even close to black.Driver install issues(above).6x8 prints don't work with a Mac.

I've had my 730PS for a while now.Color rendition isn't a problem, unlike my Epson StylusPhoto 2200, and previous HP Photosmart P1100. Prints comeout with natural looking colors, no pink casts, etc. It's been 100% reliable for me so far.Is blazing fast compared to previous photo printers I'veused (HP Photosmart 1100, Epson Stylus Photo 2200).
Problems Encountered: None.

Comments about Hi-Touch Imaging Technologies HiTi 730PS Dye Sublimation Printer:
... I own two of these printers, mainly for 5 x 7s, as I have four Hi-ti 4 x 6 printers and 6 x 8s don't fit standard plaques and frames well (plus I print 8 x 10s using two Kodak printers so there is little price differential between 6 x 8 and 8 x 10, so I just sell the larger print for better return on investment) ... I have printed over 500 prints between these two 730 printers and they have never jammed, failed to print or caused any other problems that were not my fault, like not setting the printer setup to 5 x 7, it always defaults to 4 x 6 ...... The quality is as good as any other of the under $1000 dye sublimation printers ... the first print does take longer to spool, but after that it takes less than 10 seconds to start printing once the ok button is clicked on the previewer ... ... Highly recommended, in fact I am planning to get another one ...... I rate this a five on features, only because I do not even bother to use the stand alone attachment, it might work wonderfully, I will never know, I placed them back in the box as soon as I unpacked the printers ... I always use a computer to touch up and add extras ...
Problems Encountered: none

This printer is amazingly fast when connected to a computer but slows down when reading from the card. The print quality is excellent and last under all kinds of conditions. It would be nice to see an 8x10 option though.
