GuitarPort is a hardware/software combination that provides the ability to jam with and learn hundreds of songs, study guitar lessons, all of which can be downloaded from the Internet. It includes models of fifteen classic guitar amplifiers and eighteen "stomp-box" and studio effects that function, sound and feel like the originals.
The GuitarPort hardware is connected to the computer using an included USB cable. A stereo mini phone output is connected to powered speakers or headphones. The included software allows one to play along with MP3 or WAV files, or any ripped audio CDs. Software functions include scanning the audio, jumping to any point, looping any section and even slowing the material to half speed without changing pitch.
GuitarPort Online, an optional subscription based Internet service provided by Line 6, has hundreds of tracks available for download, all recorded in the world's top studios. GuitarPort's meticulously crafted recreations of a dream collection of amplifiers, plus effects, captures the range of tone found on the best guitar tracks ever recorded.
