Terk Technologies FM Edge Amplified Indoor FM Antenna
Terk's FM Edge Amplified Indoor FM Antenna is a stylish improvement over conventional FM antennas. The built-in amplifier is adjustable and provides up to 36 dB of gain, making hard-to-reach stations more accessible and reducing static in the process. When placed vertically, the FM Edge is an omni-directional antenna. Place it on its side and it becomes directional, making stations in certain locations easier to receive.
Terk makes connection easy with a slip-on 75-ohm plug. A screw-type adapter and a 75- to 300-ohm transformer are included so you can connect this antenna to virtually any FM radio.

Frankly, I got this antenna only expecting that it won't work based on my earlier experiences with indoor antennas. However, as soon as I plugged it in, my tuner started finding channels that I thought were beyond reach.
Bottom line, this antenna works. I found almost no difference in using it with or without power.
The RF cable is attached to the antenna, but long enough.

I used this antenna to replace the stock antenna that came with the A/V receiver. My A/V receiver supports HD radio and I thought this antenna would help. However reception still remains spotty and I did not see any major improvement. Probably relocating the antenna near the window might help but I haven't done that yet and it would longer wires than what comes with the unit. The signal amplifier does not help.

I thought I needed this for reception on an old receiver I was just starting to use again. Turns out it was getting great reception without any aid. So I hooked it up to my new AV receiver. Reception may be a bit better, but not really sure. I will have to play around and see if different positions or angles help...

couldnt get much of improvement on the local station over stock T antenna. Tried moving it to different locations in the room. Near a window, etc. No real difference. returned for refund.

This indoor antenna greatly improved the number and quality of radio stations we are able to access. The hills and valleys of S. California can be a problem, but this antenna easily doubled the number of stations. We use this antenna on the stereo in our guest suite. The only drawback for our application is that the cords could be a bit longer. Not a deal breaker by any means!

I had verfy poor FM reception because of mineral deposits in the hills around our home. The antenna improved reception on all 30 mile radius stations. Gain control works great. I'll buy another for our upstairs radio!
