I have purchased about a half dozen of these for me and my friends and family. It works pretty well. I'm not going to say it will reach out and pull distant stations in like they are next door, but I live about 20 miles (crow flies) from the nearest stations, and I bring them in fine. The light on the antenna is kind of bright and can not be turned off or even down, but by changing the placement is can be a great antenna that is out of sight.

I'm not sure if it's the antennae that's lackluster, if the $500 system I connected it to is (quite possible) or if I just live in the black hole of radio reception (again, quite possible), but it really didn't improve my reception enough to give it a great review. I get radio stations on my little $10 clock radio that I can't with the system I connected this antennae to. In all honesty, I think it's the radio that is a piece of junk; the antennae helped a little (I got one clear station and no fuzzy stations before, now one clear, a bunch of fuzzy ones). So yeah, it helped, but I can still really only listen to one clear station with it.

Comments about Terk Technologies TOWER Amplified Indoor AM/FM Antenna:
Looked forward to better reception on the weaker stations. So, I paired the existing indoor receiver antennas with the TOWER leads to get the best of both. However, I noticed no improvement in the AM stations (little or no reception), marginal improvement in the FM local public broadcasting reception, but a stronger sound from the local FM music stations. So, there was improvement but not enough to justify the purchase.

Comments about Terk Technologies TOWER Amplified Indoor AM/FM Antenna:
I bought the Terk antenna to replace a $3.00 bipole wire antenna that was loosely draped over a curtain rod. Although the asthetics are now much improved, my FM radio reception is about the same as before -- spotty. For improved reception, I will probably have to go back to a long wire, but this time hidden in the attic. In the meantime, the Terk antenna will make my decorator happier!

Comments about Terk Technologies TOWER Amplified Indoor AM/FM Antenna:
After the five second hook up to my new Crosley phonograph, cassette, cd, am and fm radio set and scanning the band for music stations I could not believe my ears. The reception I received from the antenna and in comparison to the one received with the set was totally awesome. I am truly one hundred percent satisfied I purchased the tower antenna. Thank you so very much for a swell product. It's wonderful!

It worked well on FM, but didn't do much on AM. The power booster seemed to have no effect whether it was plugged in or not. The lighted adjustment wheel didn't have any effect either.

Comments about Terk Technologies TOWER Amplified Indoor AM/FM Antenna:
As they say in real estate, everything is location, location, location. This antenna absolutely did NOT improve reception on AM or FM stations. I live in a high-rise apt building in NYC, which in itself can be challenging for radio reception, but this antenna actually made it worse. Amplified does not guarantee good reception, I had better sucess with the Terk AF-2500, which I have had for years & is not amplified.

The TOWER Amplified Indoor AM/FM Antenna by Terk worked about as well as a regular wire. It looks really nice, it just didn't work for me.

Couldn't pick up any FM stations before getting this antenna. Can get quite a few now, but only 1 or 2 AM stations and not the ones that I wanted and can pick up in my car.

Comments about Terk Technologies TOWER Amplified Indoor AM/FM Antenna:
I know it's hard to get good AM radio reception in NYC office buildings, but I thought I would give it a shot. With the radio's internal antenna, you can get some stations. With the Audiovox antenna no stations, only static
Also the Audiovox, surprisingly, did not improve FM reception, but at least it did not degrade it

I use this antenna booster at work, in a all metal building (auto dealer). In the past I was not be able to receive a clear signal all day long, it would go in and out, The booster is not perfect, but a definate improvement over not having it.

Comments about Terk Technologies TOWER Amplified Indoor AM/FM Antenna:
I wanted an antenna that would improve the quality of the local radio station channels. Although near I used to get distortion, occasional cracking and popping. I used to use the wire that came with my Sony receiver.
Once the antenna was on, all the undesirable artifacts were gone and I hardly can imagine radio quality could be any better.
I have not tried to find difference with far away radio stations, but I am sure they should have marked improvement as well.
The bottom line is the antenna works as advertised- very happy with it.

Comments about Terk Technologies TOWER Amplified Indoor AM/FM Antenna:
Provides AM reception in radio signal crowded areas, amplified FM reception improves those hard to listen to low band FM stations, think NPR and local public access radio.
I recommend this antenna highly, especially considering the minimal cost and ease of set up.

Comments about Terk Technologies TOWER Amplified Indoor AM/FM Antenna:
I use this in my room where before I could get only 2-3 stations. I have no idea why because the apartment is high up. Since I installed this antenna, no problems. It works very good, easy to install and like the black color. Kind of spacey. What surprised me a bit was the size. It is quite long. Other then that, good product.

Comments about Terk Technologies TOWER Amplified Indoor AM/FM Antenna:
the reason I give it 5 stars is because it picks up all the stations that I need and it looks good.
However I do not live in a remote area, I just needed an antenna for my stereo system an this one did the job more than fine.
installation was breeze.
I did my research before buying it and this was the best for the price.
