The TERK HDTVi is the only indoor HDTV antenna optimized for both UHF and VHF reception (channels 2-69).
The HDTVi elegantly solves the aesthetic challenge of integrating a log-periodic type element assembly into an indoor antenna. It is tuned for optimum HDTV reception with a unique design that utilizes log periodic elements and dipoles for receiving both UHF and VHF HDTV broadcasts, allowing you to receive more stations.
With high gain feature it picks up farther stations and the high back-to-front ratio rejects unwanted signals. The UHF antenna can even be mounted vertically or horizontally to aid in better reception.

I live near an airbase and I have been unable to get constant reception through this device. When a plane flies near it cuts out,and I only receive one of the several channels that are within close range on a regular basis. I don't receive the local channels, but off and on I pull in one or two of the higher powered stations from further away. It seems to be only a little bit better than the basic rabbit ears I bought from Radio Shack. I am a little disappointed because other reviews said it performed better than this.

Comments about Terk Technologies HDTVi VHF/UHF HDTV Indoor Antenna:
I use this on my HDTV instead of an outdated (and arguably less reliable) pair of rabbit ears minus a stand. Moved into a new location less than 5 miles from away and one channel that used to come in depending on how you held the antenna now doesn't come in at all. Thought this might work, and look better, than a DIY UHF antenna that I had seen work great made out of copper wire. It picks up the basic channels with slightly better reception than the old rabbit ears, but its not perfect, or most times crystal clear. The base is not very stable either, and the cable pushes around too. I have it sitting on a table, pointed towards the inside of the room, instead of towards the window where I would think the better pick-up is but alas. Maybe under better circumstances this would work better, but not mine.

Comments about Terk Technologies HDTVi VHF/UHF HDTV Indoor Antenna:
I bought this Terk antenna to bring in a few over-the-air TV stations, and it does. The most effective TV antennas are large, and mounted high and in the clear above buildings. This is a small antenna, and is mounted just on top of a bookcase in my living room, which is far from ideal.
This antenna, considering its size and mounting position, works as well as any small antenna could work, mounted the way it is. Every antenna maker is subject to the same laws of physics, and there is no way a small antenna in a living room is going to compete with a large antenna on a roof. This antenna is built well and easy to install. If you can't mount it right next to your TV, you will probably want an extension cable (and a double-female F connector adapter).
If you are in a good signal area and don't expect to get any weak or far-away stations, you should be satisfied. If you have a need for weak signal reception, you will have to get a larger antenna, and mount it high.

Comments about Terk Technologies HDTVi VHF/UHF HDTV Indoor Antenna:
Able to get 22 digital channels including CBC, CTV, CITY, Global, TVO, OMNI, ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, FOX all in HD. All stations except 1 broadcast on UHF so the VHF component is not really required.
The antenna has a high center of gravity and prone to tipping over easily. The attached coaxial cable is stiff. Ended up not using the base unit which has the built-in VHF dipoles. Connected a good quality cable with coupler directly to the UHF element. This saves space and no tipping over. The 1 VHF station still comes in.

I can get most of the channels, and the antenna looks good and feels good. I don't know what else to say but it does pick up all CBS, PBS, NBC, ABC. The price was good (cheapest here at B&H)

I gave my daughter my old Radio Shack rabbit ears which I used in the event the cable went south.
The Terk antenna pulls in just as many stations for approximately the same price.

Comments about Terk Technologies HDTVi VHF/UHF HDTV Indoor Antenna:
I bought this antenna with low expectations since I was used to cable and satellite quality picture. I get 10-15 channels depending on the placement of the antenna and HD broadcast channels are better quality than what I was getting from cable/satellite. I would highly recommend this if you just want to view quality local broadcasts.

This antenna has made my life better -- It picks up a signal exponentially more effectively than my previous antenna, and I have to do very little adjustment when switching channels. No more frustrating 10 minute fights to get the "rabbit ears" in the right position!

Comments about Terk Technologies HDTVi VHF/UHF HDTV Indoor Antenna:
I am not usually a person that writes bad reviews, just an honest one. Sadly this product felt more like a burden than a smart purchase. It did not recieve many channels sharply and whats more I had to continually adjust it. Keep in mind that I live in a building in New York City and it might work differently for you, but I was not satisfied with the purchase.
