An impressively simple concept. You plug the "male" end into a 2.5 mm jack and plug a 3.5 mm into it. And it works! Every day.

It works, just about, but somehow does not stay connected - the female end does not grip the male jack at all well.

I bought this adapter to attach a mic to my Panasonic GH2 camera. It does not work very reliably. I need to fiddle around a lot for the camera to recognise the signal, and then it sometimes just goes away.

I was attempting to use the adapter to connect my phone's mp3 player to my car stereo, but the adapter doesn't seat well in the phone and I only ever get sound one side of the headphones or speakers.
