Comments about Lowel Background Support System:
I'm a studio photographer, and I currently use another backdrop support system, which I LOVE and have listed in "similar products I own." (B&H asks that I not name the system in my review.) With this system, you can buy an additional bar that sits a little below and in front of the original backdrop.
I thought that this system by Lowell would be similar. Not even close. The two bars included connect to each other, creating a ridiculously long support system for two backdrops. My studio simply isn't that large. Plus, when the equipment showed up, it looked battered and worn, like it wasn't even new. I was not impressed to say the least and returned it immediately. I'll stick with my usual brand from now on.

Comments about Lowel Background Support System:
I held out ordering a new background stand for years, and now I'm kicking myself. This one is awesome! It's perfect for packing up to travel on-location, or it can be expanded and used in the studio. I'm very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it!

Comments about Lowel Background Support System:
I don't have a lot of experience with background supports, but this one seems sturdy and well-made. While there are many less expensive supports available, the reason I purchased this one is the fact the stands integrate well with Lowel lights, which can be easily attached to the top of the poles.

Comments about Lowel Background Support System:
This makes an excellent background support system, unlike the cheaply manufactured ones found via other online merchandisers. Yes, it is expensive, but the expense is worth it when you think of using a cheap support system that falls down or breaks at the most inopportune moments. So far, I have absolutely no complaints about it.

Light weight and versatile. I use it to hold up to 4 cloth backdrops at a time.

Comments about Lowel Background Support System:
I bought this system because of the heavy vinyl backdrop I have. The ends of the tubes where they connect to one another bent easily and the interlink sockets are no longer stable.
This is probably fine for any other type of backdrop, just not a heavy one.
