I love these binoculars. They're great for sporting events. I like them so much, I am thinking about buying a second pair for my son and/or daughter who travel with me to college football games. They're easy to use and have a very wide field of vision, that's why they work so well for outdoor sporting venues. I love them! B&H had the best pricing I could find as well. You can't go wrong ... with B&H's pricing [...] and the Nikon name ... who could ask for anything more?

We purchased these for our Alaska Cruise and found them to be exactly what we wanted. the animals from afar were greatly enlarged so they maybe enjoyed from a distance. I would deffinately recommend these.We are very happy that our purchase turned out to be perfect!

These are great for sporting events. The field of vision is the widest I've seen from major manufactures. They're a little bigger than I'd hope for, nonetheless, I love them. Waterproof too, so no worries when sitting at the ball game and it starts raining.

I was looking for binoculars for bird watching in our backyard that were not too expensive. Most general reviews recommend pricier binoculars, but reading through reviews of the Nikon Action EX series binoculars made me try this one. I am very happy with these, they deliver a very sharp image overall with no color fringes. There's a slight fall off of focus, but only noticeable at the very edge of the field of view, so it does not distract from the otherwise great image quality. These have an outstanding field of view which makes them very useful for birdwatching. The close-focusing distance also means that they can be used to watch bird feeders just outside the window. The binoculars have a solid feel. Only quirk are the front lens covers, that don't go on easy and are separate (but I only use them when I store the binoculars). In the end, considering the price, this is an excellent buy!

Needed some good binoculars for our upcoming Alaska cruise/tour, but I didn't want to spend a fortune. These were the correct purchase. Sharp image... easy to use... decent price. These we be used for bird watching in our backyard after the cruise. I highly recommend these to anyone looking for some good binoculars.

I bought these for my Dad. He has the last row in the upper tier at Giants Stadium and he loves these. I thought there were a bit bulky, but the value of the optics is great. If you can get the $25 free gift certificate then your really only paying [$] for these. GREAT PRICE!!!!

I am a walking hunter (nastier and rainier the better) These have great optics and are clear. Easy to adjust and handle. I wish there were an easier lens cap design out there for under $100. There ain't. A bit heavy, but that's better than a bit blurry or a bit too dark.

Bought these for myself and have recently bought a pair of leopold yosemite 6x30 for my 4 year old son. Both are excellent for the price. I perfer these to the yosemite they are larger and feel for substantal.My wife and son prefer the yosemite they are smaller more compact. Either work well with glasses.B&H was excellent and their price was the best.

Nikon has a well-deserved reputation for quality optics and the 7x35 Action Extremes do nothing to detract from it.

These are sturdy, well-built binoculars with the advantages of being waterproof as well as fogproof. Their greatest strength also leads to their greatness weakness, though. The very wide field of view (9.3 degrees) gives an open, panoramic vista unavailable through most binoculars. But in optics, there are so many compromises and in this case it means these binos have some softness on the edges. The "sweet spot" in the center is large enough that this softness doesn't concern me and may not even be noticable to many users. Otherwise, the image is bright and clear and very fine for daytime use outdoors or for watching sporting events at a well-lit venue.

bought these for a budding bird-watcher who is 12 yrs old.
The view is impressive, easy to sight with their wide view and easy to use with the well-placed focus ring.
Not so lightweight but not too heavy for him.

I bought these binoculars after reading reviews on several websites, including the Cornell Ornithology Lab. They were the top ones rated in their price range, and I have been delighted with them. They are bright, easy to focus, and with a wide enough field of view to make it easy to find and follow birds. The image has a stunning 3-D quality, even with glasses. I have used them on several bird walks and others agreed that they are wonderful. At least one friend wants a pair and asked me for ordering information. These are not small or very light, but comfortable to carry. I had a bit of a struggle getting the ends of the strap through the tight loops on the case, but you only have to do that once!

I bought these binoculars as a mothers' day gift for my wife. Best gift decision I ever made. She uses them to watch birds gather at feeders in our shady back yard. I just got these from the UPS guy yesterday and I've been using them all day to watch birds in the backyard. I am most impressed. It is very true that you can get better optical quality at a lower price with a porro prism binocular compared to a roof prism binocular. These compare favorably with other binoculars I own that cost 3-4 times as much. As such, they are 5-stars. Being porros, they are heavier and bigger than roofs but, if you don't mind the size, you can get really good optics for very little money with the Action EX.

I was a bit hesitant to buy these at first since the close focus is listed at about 16 feet. I was happy to find out they actually focus to about 10 feet with my eyes. They seem to be very well built, they come with an excellent neck strap (something not universally the case with some more expensive binoculars) and they are waterproof to boot.
