Comments about Lowel Grip:
Got one of these in Lowel's kit for the boom they sell. Stripped out on second attempt to use it. Didn't even tighten down on it that hard. I figured I'd got a bad one or I did something wrong, but seems like others are having same issues. Don't get this product.

Comments about Lowel Grip:
This used to be one of my go to items when I worked in news a decade ago. In a pinch it served as an umbrella holder, a boom pole mount, a backlight arm holder, corner support for a lighting grid... you name it. I had several of these in my grip case ready to go. Unfortunately, things aren't what they used to be. The machining of the new KG grips is sub-par. On first use, the internal thread for the tension arm was stripped. I was just trying to mount a K-Tek boom pole. Thinking I just had a bad egg, I grabbed the second (new) one I had in the kit. SAME problem. Barely any tension and the inner threading stripped. Two useless [$] Grips.
