I ordered the adapter so I could move some VHS-C tapes to digital. The adapter works well for me. It requires you to manually load the tapes but I found this not too difficult. You just have to be a little gentle with the mechanism - it not a really robust piece of equipment.
I have used it for 10 tapes without a problem. It was a good, low cost solution to my needs.

We were down to one converter and when a big job of multiple VHS-C tapes came in, we needed at least two to manage the job. These work, but do not feel as sturdy as the ones we had in the past. I worry about the tapes I insert, but so far they have done no harm.

I just started a media to DVD conversion company and was getting more requests than I thought I would for VHS-C to DVD. This works great! Easy to use, no muss, no fuss. I bought 2 just in case if as some others said, it was flimsy. I do not see that as being an issue.

Despite VHS going the way of the dinosaur, I have several camera tapes that require the adapter to play in a VHS recorder. The adapter works without requiring batteries, which is a great advantage. No worries about rotting batteries inside the adapter as it sits in a drawer for months at a time. Sure is handy to have for those occasional uses of old VHS camera tapes.
