Comments about K-Tek KE-69 Avalon Series Aluminum Boompole (Uncabled):
Pretty good. It's lightweight, which is nice. It kind feels a little flimsy, like it's not going to last a long time. But, if you're on a budget this is a good pole to have. Overall, I'm happy with it.

It is a good simple pole for my Rode mic. It does the trick without costing an arm and a leg.

Comments about K-Tek KE-69 Avalon Series Aluminum Boompole (Uncabled):
I generally use this boom pole with a mic stand and counter-weight with a shotgun mic. It is longer than a regular mic stand boom and is used with a "clothespin-clip" type mic clip. I guess I should get some sort of longer "boom pole holder/adapter" to improve stability.
It has also been used by a boom-ops person. They liked it because of the light weight - and did not like it as much as some of the longer (and heavier) boom poles.
As with all boom poles, be sure a shock mount is used for the mic. As with all boom poles, I wish they would use a standard mic clip thread for shock mount mounting rather than making us use an adapter, special mount or boom-pole-specific or manufacturer-specific shock-mount.

Comments about K-Tek KE-69 Avalon Series Aluminum Boompole (Uncabled):
I use it for recording in the field and works fine for me in that application. I chose not to get the internal coiled pole, as I felt it was too noisy (had one, returned it.
This pole is light, easy to use and seems to be well built. I am just really satisfied with it. At the moment I have nothing bad to say about it.
