The ZTS MBT-1 Multi Battery Tester provides a comprehensive means of testing the state of charge or state of power for more than 30 battery types.
This microprocessor-controlled instrument is designed for commercial or home use, and tests popular primary (non-rechargeable) and rechargeable batteries using a patented, high-accuracy pulse load test. After a fully automatic test cycle, percentage of remaining battery capacity is indicated on the LED bar display.
Battery types are clearly labeled next to appropriate contacts. Negative test lead/probe conveniently stores in seam at side. It's easy to use (no switches or settings), and test results are easy to understand.

With so many types of batteries in our house, I needed a dependable unit.

Comments about ZTS MBT-1 Multi Battery Tester:
Unique design has produced a very accurate means of saving the planet from half used batteries. Have no regrets on the purchase of this well made tester.

Comments about ZTS MBT-1 Multi Battery Tester:
This is the first battery tester I've used that I actually trust. Not only did it identify batteries with limited reserve, it identified rechargables that were the defective ones of the lot. Well constructed, should last a long time (or until new battery formats that it doesn't test are introduced).
Recommended.

Comments about ZTS MBT-1 Multi Battery Tester:
After using a cheap $10 battery tester for years, I finally got fed up with it's inability to distinguish between used batteries that had life left in them, and those that were right on the edge. This tester solves that problem by testing batteries under load. It was able to separate my collection of used batteries and let me know how good they really were. A pricey tester, but one that really works!

Comments about ZTS MBT-1 Multi Battery Tester:
Using rechargeable batteries can be challenging in and of itself. Determining the amount of energy remaining in these batteries can also be misleading. The MBT-1 allows us to test these batteries... with a load on them... to better determine their current status.

Comments about ZTS MBT-1 Multi Battery Tester:
Best battery tester I have ever used. Its one piece self-contained design elegantly solves the problem of testing different sized and shaped batteries. It saves me money on batteries by taking the guess work out discarding batteries. I have found batteries in my "recycle" box that were still 80 percent charged. In time it will pay for itself. It's size is probably necessary to provide the capability. The mini-version might be good if you use only a few types.

Comments about ZTS MBT-1 Multi Battery Tester:
We use to go thru hundreds of batteries a month, now we check each battery and are reusing about 70 percent of the batteries that we use to throw away. Well worth the money...

Have 14 Shure wireless mics to check batteries. Product should pay for itself, not in money, but in better predictability of battery failures before they happen during live performances.

Comments about ZTS MBT-1 Multi Battery Tester:
A little bit larger than I expected it to be, but works very well. It was great to go through my collection of half used batteries and remove the ones that are bad - now I get to use the rest of them. Also, will be more confident in the future to use batteries that are partially used. And it works on NiMH as well. I have nothing negative to say.

Comments about ZTS MBT-1 Multi Battery Tester:
For many years before I got this tester I was frustrated when testing batteries on a voltmeter. A voltmeter applies no load during testing, therefore does not give an accurate measure of remaining battery life. So often I disposed of partially used batteries, installing new ones, just to be on the safe side. This tester changed that. It provides an appropriate test load for a wide range of types and voltages of batteries, giving an actual percentage of remaining life. Made in the U.S., it exudes a high standard of design and build quality. It's quite easy to use. The company also makes a smaller more portable version for the more commonly used batteries.

Comments about ZTS MBT-1 Multi Battery Tester:
We use numerous rechargeable batteries that have varying useable lives. This is the first tester we found that accurately tells us which to keep and when to dispose of before they fail. A bit bulky but very worthwhile.

Comments about ZTS MBT-1 Multi Battery Tester:
Was told about this product from a local photo shop that we do business with that uses it, and gave it great ratings. I purchased two, one for home and the other for work. I work for a law emforcement agency, and we use numerous recharable batteries. Officers continually request replacement on "all" of their batteries stating they will not hold a charge. Costly at [$] a piece. Testing will usually find that only one battery is getting weak affecting the rest or that the officer is not maintaining batteries per procedures. This tester makes that determination "quickly and accurately", saving "time and money". It will test numerous types of batteries, and is "very simple" to use. Accurate & Simple - An excellent investment. However - It will not determine if a battery has a memory built up from lack of use, (shows 100% after charge) without some additional testing under full use/load - But not a real issue.

Comments about ZTS MBT-1 Multi Battery Tester:
I had dozens of batteries of many sizes. I know some are dead and some are still usable. I used multimeter to test them and only have the voltage. Some with norminal voltage(e.g. 1.5V for AAA and AA) can be used but how long it can last is unkonwn. With this I can certainly test them and know how much battery life is left. Very easy to use. I had considered the lower priced one but it does not test as more types of batteries as this one does. I think this is a tool for use for many years and decided to go this big one. Good product and good quality

Works very well. I found a good number of my rechargeable's were bad. I found that some of them were unable to take a full charge - something I never knew before. Now I'm all set after replacing those, and now everything's good. Get One!

Comments about ZTS MBT-1 Multi Battery Tester:
I started using high end LED flashlights (torches). I needed to test batteries for these devices. Rechargeable batteries (NIMH & Lithium-ion) need to be charged to certain levels for maximum efficiency. This along with a DMM do the job.
The ZTS tests almost any battery under a load. The only way to know how much power is left in the battery for effective use.
I can now check how much power a battery has remaining before I start using a device for long periods of time. If it is half empty, I can load a new battery. No more disposing of batteries that have life in them. It will save you money if you use a great deal of batteries.
