The 8x21 UCF R binocular from Pentax features a clever dual-axis body design. Unlike common dual-hinge optic, the UCF R's eyepieces move simultaneously when adjusting them for viewing. This type of construction makes setting the binocular up a breeze, and it adds a significant amount of strength and stability to the entire optic.
Sporting a rubber-covered housing and sliding eye cups, the UCF R provides a secure grip and a customized view. The optical system consists of a pair of BAK4 roof prisms in a compact configuration, and super multicoated lenses for optimum viewing at all times. The 8x21 UCF R has an entry-level price-point, yet it's durable, easy to carry and use, and it delivers excellent viewing performance.

Comments about Pentax 8x21 UCF R Binocular:
Lightweight, compact, and easy to travel with. Best of all - some of the clearest Binoculars I have ever looked through. Used them for the last 10 days whale watching in Maui and just too good to be true. The warranty is incredible too. [...]

Small enough for a not so big pocket, and the image quality in a dark concert was excellent.

Comments about Pentax 8x21 UCF R Binocular:
We bought two pairs and immediately flew to Berlin for two weeks of museum-hopping and concerts. We saw several operas and the binocular were easy to use and very good. They even worked well at the Lady Gaga concert! The only problem is that the lens holders (not the lens caps) were loose and came off one set. We had to look everywhere for them one night. Unfortunately, we didn't get back to New York for two weeks so we weren't able to take the one pair back to B and H, since they will only take stuff back for ten days. Bummer.

I bougth this product to use especially in theater performance, and because of this I choose the smaller one.
I think it isn´t the best one but it´s ok to that proposal.

Comments about Pentax 8x21 UCF R Binocular:
I was looking for a pair of binoculars specifically to get a better view of the birds on the feeders in our back yard. The problem was the feeders are all within 20ft from the window, so normal binoculars were just too strong, and couldn't focus on the birds that were close. These binoculars have solved that problem! I can now easily focus in on all the feeders in our back yard, even some that are probably only 6-8 ft. away from the window (closer then the manufacturer specs say). Also, the eye relief is excellent, I've had no problems with them not focusing well due to my glasses. Over all I couldn't be happier.
