Comments about Behringer VMX1000 DJ Mixer:
I've had one of these for 6 years and just bought another one even though it's been discontinued. It's a great DJ mixer with 2 mic inputs and 5 other inputs for line and phono inputs. It's got gain and EQ for each of the 5 channels. Not all DJ mixers have these simply, yet essential features so I highly recommend this or the newer version that Behringer has come out with.

Comments about Behringer VMX1000 DJ Mixer:
The professionalisim that has gone into the design and construction of this mixer cannot be over stated. From the dual balanced microphone inputs with adjustable talkover to the adjustable volume and adjustable frequency crossover subwoofer output to the XPQ effects, this mixer covers just about every need you have. I pared this unit with a Cortex HDC-1000 and a couple of mid-sized power amplifiers in a portable console and now I have a plug and play system that I don't spend 20 minutes cabling each gig. The mixer is great but the price point is what realy made me smile. Easy on the wallet. Get One!

Comments about Behringer VMX1000 DJ Mixer:
I had an old Radio Shack mixer for 20+ years and bought this to replace it because it had 7 channels. I am very happy with this mixer. The sound quality is great and the microphone channels also sound great with the tone controls. I am not a DJ but tried the talk over music features of this mixer and it worked great. This should take care of just about anything a DJ or home enthusiast can throw at it...

Comments about Behringer VMX1000 DJ Mixer:
There are three features that make this mixer the first I've seen that meets my requirements. Until now, I've had to use outboard equipment to add features, increasing the weight, bulk, and complexity of my DJ rig.
1) Output channel summing; live stereo for more than a half dozen people guarantees most of the audience will not hear the full program.
2) Talkover capability; I'm amazed at how many so-called 'DJ mixers' don't include this essential function.
3) Built-in crossover and sub out; everyone has subs these days (at least the systems that sound decent). The most common array is mid-hi with passive crossover and subs. Using a separate
crossover for a single sub/mid-hi split is ridiculous.
I knocked off a point for mediocre build quality and so-so output level.

Comments about Behringer VMX1000 DJ Mixer:
I use this as DJ with a technincs sl dz-1200, is an excellent mixer, the BPM counter is little bit slow but I do not use it for mixing, it has an excellent mixing curve control, excellent gain ouput. and of course the price is the best part.. very low price for a professional mixer!
