im a home recording hobbyist who was looking for some inexpensive headphones and a second mic for recording instruments to a 4 track. the mic that comes with this pack is surprisingly good for the price, but the headphones were a problem. i immediately had problems with the jack. it was periodically losing contact or just plain not working the first day i used it. ive owned this starter pack before, and the headphones lasted about two years before this happened. its unfortunate because if the build quality was better, this would be an ideal pack for lo-fi, 4 track or other types of home recording hobbyists.

Much better sound quality from new studio type monitoring headphones, compared to old ones i had. Haven't used mic yet, but it looks solid. It (mic) came with XLR cable also.
