This is a real nice way to keep all your old slides safe and secure without the space of carousels but [$] seems a bit much for a very thin metal box and a couple of thin plastic trays.

A good sturdy metal box for slides. The plastic trays which hold the slides are a bit flimsy but it seems to work. Time will tell how well they hold up. Not sure how dust tight the box is, but compared to other storage boxes to hold a large number of slides, I'm quite pleased overall.

I am preserving my sides after converting to digital. Reduces storage space and is a solidly made product. I can find not fault in this product.

It allows me to organize, label and store slides from carousels that had taken up four storage shelves. They stack neatly, (I added small, neoprene pads to each bottom corner which clears the handle below nicely.) It's nice to get a bit of my carousel money back from selling the extra carousels also. I kept a couple of carousels to project them but as I scan them I can see them on the big TV screen. I also have a small stackable loader that lets me see the slide directly from the cases, the drop front make access to the bottom tray easy. Well built and good looking. A great product.

I have used these before to organize my own slides for commercial scanning and then to store them. I was happy with that experience so I recently purchased these to organize and store thousands of slides my late father-in-law took.

The plastic "liner" is black vs. yellow as in the photo. The plastic is a bit flimsy. The construction seems to be OK

Good price, my only problem is trying to load the lower tray. The support for the upper tray interfers a bit.

I am happy with the quality of workmanship. The small package is exactly what I needed for reducing the storage space for my 35mm slides.

Sides fit snugly in compartments, easy to see, easy to carry. But there are large holes in the corner that allow air, bugs, dust to enter. Also, front latches do not feel secure, as if they could unhook while carrying and fall apart.

I need long-term storage, and I'd need to put this in ANOTHER box to keep it truly secure.

There is not much to say about the product. It stores slides in a sturdy, nice looking efficient design. Beats 100's of yellow/green boxes laying around...

We were able to get about 1,380 slides in ours - standard cardboard mounts. Good sturdy box.

The box is pretty well manufactured, the latches engages correctly and the product has a very sturdy construction.Problem? It doesn't fit the 1,500 slides as promised: w/o removing the plastic trays, I could fit only 1,100, that is approx 26% less than advertised.I guess the same applies with the single layered box, advertised to 750 slides: if the same proportion applies, don't expect to fit more than 550.

Problems Encountered: It fits less slides than advertised
