Comments about Lowel Tota-Clamp:
I recently had to shoot a video in a martial arts dojo. Parts of the dojo were fairly dark. Bodies flying through the air argued strongly against placing light stands in the corners. I used two of these clamped on to pipes on the ceiling to support 2 tota lights. They held the lights securely though a very active martial arts demonstration. Highly recommended.

We've now used this Tota-Clamp on a couple of film shoots for putting up lights. It serves its purpose quite well, and we've not had a problem with it yet!

We use these to mount our lights on a beam. The cheap plastic broke on one of them.

Comments about Lowel Tota-Clamp:
Very compact, allowed me to attach an Omni light to a bookcase in a crowded and cluttered New York apartment without having to deploy a stand and add to the clutter. Nice geometrical options. I did have to use padding to avoid damaging the bookcase.
I know the primary use is advertised as an attachment for light stands but it works this way as well.
This is for lighting, not sound.
